Updates to Credit Karma’s Privacy Policy & Terms of Use

February 8, 2013

Credit Karma has grown a lot since we gave out our first free credit score in 2008. We now have more than 10 million members and have made lots of changes and upgrades, including free credit monitoring and our mobile app. As we continue to grow, it’s important that we review and update our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use from time to time.

We want to be open and transparent with all of you, so here are a few key updates:

  • We’ve organized everything in our Privacy Policy under clear headers so you can more easily find answers to your questions. We know these aren’t fun to read, so we’ve tried to make them a little more accessible.
  • As always, we keep your information safe, but there are some times when we’ll have to share information to help others out, like in the case of legal investigations. Our new privacy policy describes the other instances when we might share your information.
  • Since a lot of you are using Credit Karma Mobile, we’ve added some provisions in both our Privacy Policy and terms of use that cover this growing channel.

There are other changes too, so please take the time to read through our updated Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. They have been effective since January 23, 2013. As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at support@creditkarma.com.
