Credit Karma Recognized As One Of The Bay Area’s Healthiest Employers

This month The Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal and the San Francisco Business Times named Credit Karma as one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s healthiest employers. This is the second consecutive year the publications have honored Credit Karma’s employee-driven wellness program “Happy is Healthy” among its top mid-sized companies.

The 2015 Bay Area Healthiest Employer awards program recognizes organizations committed to creating a healthy workplace.

I’m excited about the 2015 Bay Area Healthiest Employer award because it demonstrates an appreciation for Credit Karma’s employee-driven culture. Acknowledging that company culture can’t be forced, we let our employees come together and realize what they want out of their jobs and lives. I’m always impressed that our employees are so connected and engaged that they’ve created an extensive system of clubs, interest groups and committees at Credit Karma. In fact, many of our most popular health and wellness activities from our healthy snack socials to annual field day festivities were initially the suggestions of our employees.

Supported by Alloe.io, our health and wellness mobile app, Happy is Healthy includes flex work hours, unlimited paid sick days, company-wide challenges and rewards, on-site bike racks, showers, meditation and mommy rooms, mental health workshops, personalized wellness coaches and nutritionists, subsidized gym memberships, and on-site yoga, Pilates and boot camp exercise classes.

Congratulations here should be shared with the entire Credit Karma team. Together we’ve worked to make this company one of the healthiest employers in the entire Bay Area. Kudos all around!

Best,
