Uncrunch America
Uncrunch America is a collaborative movement dedicated to helping credit worthy borrowers find the loans they need in today’s credit crunch. The website features information and stories about the credit crunch, its effect on individuals, and directs users to participating sites to best suit their borrowing needs. Sponsors include Lending Club (personal loans), On Deck Capital (small business loans), Virgin Money (traditional mortgages), and consumer friendly financial sites like us, Credit Karma, as well as Geezeo and ChangeWave.

As everyone is aware, the downturn in the economy is stifling traditional bank lending. Banks are unwilling to take any additional risk on as they try to clear out their bad debts caused by the housing market collapse. Uncrunch America’s mission is to step in and stimulate the market by introducing social lending to a larger audience. As part of this initiative, Uncrunch America wants to hear from you, the consumer about your experiences.
Tell your story about how the credit crunch has affected you for a chance to win a $5,000 no-interest loan. Uncrunch America is awarding these loans monthly, and the deadline for this month is May 15, 2009. This does not have to be a sad sob story, you can submit your story if you have tips, resources, or a project that deals with how to survive the credit crunch. Stories will be voted on and the story with the most votes will win the interest free loan.
Submit your story today, have a chance to win a $5,000 interest free loan, and take part in a community effort to help get America back on its feet.

This sounds like a very interesting idea.
If I get this right, this means I can get a $5K loan with no interest if I share my story and rally people to vote for me?
That is correct.
